The Filter Facial offers a non-invasive solution to remove unwanted facial vellus hair (peach fuzz) and exfoliate the skin. Using a medical blade at a 45-degree angle, our practitioners gently scrape the skin, followed by a mild peel or hydration mask to enhance the results. This treatment removes the outer layer of dead skin, promoting better skincare penetration, a healthier complexion and a perfect canvas for makeup application.

Its also popular among post-menopausal women who experience increased facial hair due to hormonal changes. The most common question we get is, "Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?" The answer is, no. We do not pluck or pull hairs, so hair growth remains unchanged, making this treatment a safe and effective option.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the treatment, your practitioner will cleanse and dry your skin before using a medical blade to gently scrape away dead skin cells and vellus hair. This is then followed by a mild peel or a mask tailored to your skin’s needs. The entire process is painless and almost relaxing, leaving your skin immediately smoother and more radiant.


Each Filter Facial lasts 1 hour. It includes dermaplaning, followed by a peel or mask, safe for even pregnant or clients. Expect a slight dry stage for hours post-treatment, so your facial at least one week before any special event. For optimal results, we recommend monthly treatments.

Post-Treatment Care

Post-treatment, avoid overheating the face (e.g. saunas) and using unclean makeup brushes for 24 hours to prevent infection. Your skin may feel slightly dry for hours. This is completely normal and will quickly, leaving you with a glowing complexion.

Who is this safe for?






Completely safe for or breastfeeding women. However, it is not for those with active acne or open wounds in the treatment area.





What are the risks and precautions?






We use single-use medical blades for each treatment, unlike reusable over-the-counter options that can cause folliculitis. While there’s a minor risk of cuts if the patient moves suddenly, our experienced ensure a relaxing experience. This procedure exposes fresh, hair-free smooth skin, so it’s important to avoid overheating the Exion Face and Body and using unclean makeup brushes for the first 24 hours to prevent any risk of infection.




Is there any downtime?






There is no downtime, but please avoid excess heat for 24 hours.
